INTERPRETATION AND DEFINITIONS

Interpretation

Words with capitalized initial letters have meanings defined in the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how KeyFerrals ("Company," "we," "us," "our," or "KeyFerrals") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with our website located at www.Keyferrals.com (the "Site") and the referral services we provide (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy applies to all individuals who interact with our Site or Services, including prospective clients, active clients, Partners (licensed professionals), and visitors to the Site.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining transparency regarding how your personal information is handled. Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our privacy practices, you should not use the Site or Services.

This Policy does not apply to the practices of Partners or third parties with whom we connect you. Those parties have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. When you are referred to a Partner, that Partner's privacy policy will govern how they handle your information.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you interact with our Site or Services, you may provide us with the following information:

  • Contact Information: Your full name, phone number(s), email address, and mailing address.
  • Service Request Information: Details about the service you are seeking, including property information, project scope, budget, preferred timeline, location preferences, or any special requirements or preferences related to the type of service or professional you are seeking.

  • Payment Information: Billing address, payment method details, and transaction history. Payment card information is processed by third-party payment processors (PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.net) and is not stored on our servers.
  • Communications and Feedback: Records of your calls, voicemails, emails, text messages, SMS messages, chat messages, and other correspondence with our team or Partners. This includes feedback, complaints, disputes, and inquiries you submit to us.
  • Identity Verification Information: Government-issued ID, business license information, or other documentation we may request to verify your identity or professional credentials, particularly for Partner verification.
  • Professional Information: For Partners, information regarding your professional licenses, credentials, experience, service areas, and other details relevant to the referral matching process.
  • Social Media Account Information: If you log in or create an account through a Third-Party Social Media Service (such as Facebook, Google, LinkedIn), we receive your account information from that service, including your name, email address, profile picture, and any other information you have made public on that platform.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Site, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information through various technologies:

  • Device and Browser Information: The type of device you use (computer, laptop, cellphone, smartphone, tablet, or other portable device), your operating system, browser type and version, device identifiers, unique device IDs, and device settings.

  • To match you with an appropriate Partner based on your stated preferences, service area, budget, and requirements.
  • To facilitate the referral process and enable communication between you and our Partners.
  • To manage your account, process your payments, and maintain records of your transactions and interactions with us.
  • To send you service-related communications, including referral notifications, account updates, status updates regarding your referrals, and responses to your inquiries.
  • To provide customer support and troubleshoot technical issues with the Site or Services.
  • To comply with obligations under your Referral Agreement and enforce the terms of that Agreement.

3.2 Marketing and Communications

  • To send you promotional emails, text messages, or other communications about our Services, new features, offers, or events (you may opt out of promotional communications at any time).
  • To conduct surveys, gather feedback, and conduct market research to improve our Services.
  • To analyze and improve the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising campaigns.

3.3 Site Improvement and Analytics

This is necessary to enable the Partner to contact you and provide the services you have requested. The Partner's use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy and applicable laws.

4.2 Service Providers and Vendors

We use third-party vendors and service providers to help us operate the Site and deliver our Services. These providers include:

  • Payment Processors: PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.net, and other companies that process credit card payments and handle billing.

All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4.8 With Your Consent

4.9 No Sale of Personal Information

We do not directly store, process, or retain your full payment card information. Your payment information is handled securely by these processors, and we only receive confirmation of successful payment.

7.3 Billing Information

We retain billing information (billing address, invoice history, transaction records) for accounting, tax, and financial reporting purposes, typically for a minimum of seven (7) years.
